Last night I got to hear a tape that really just blew me away!!
It was a tape of vote buying during an election in Perry County Kentucky. Up until now I had heard stories about Perry County, and the little town of Hazard, had never really believed them as they usually seemed to be right out of a script for the t.v. show The Dukes of Hazzard!!
I would have never ever believed them if I had not heard this audio tape, and had not seen some of the other evidence. It is actially like they are auctioning off the county offices, or having an open market rally! They literally sit in a bar on main street, and organize the buying of votes.
I plan on doing several posts on this tape, and this one is a brief introduction to the series of articles. It is also a summation of the whole series as one quote (which is the subject of this post) from this tape really just screams the whole filthy business in one small sentence!
I quote, " I just voted for someone I really didn't want to, but you have to go with the big money!"
