Pension Gate

It has been discovered that the video record of the passing of HB 299 has been erased. HB 299 is the pension bill that makes it possible for senate president David Williams to make a million dollars after he leaves government.
A million dollars in pension money at the expense of Kentucky Taxpayers all done with the stroke of a pen in HB 299, and now the video record has mysteriously vanished. Go figure.
It’s beyond belief that in this age of so much more political awareness a man like David Williams would even be considered for the top position in a state. Or is it just normal for a state employee to have a million dollar pension plan? If so, we should all strive to be state employees.
Were Kentucky to be in decent financial shape David Williams’ pension deal would still be obscene. Recently he has said he would give the money back. Wow, that’s like saying, “If you think I stole your money I’ll just give it back.”
He then said if the law would not permit him to give the money back to the state he would donate it to charity. Why not just sponsor a “David Williams Pension Fest” in Frankfort every year and get everyone drunk?
Even if the charity thing was the only option one would wonder what law gave Williams the power to decide where to donate our tax dollars?
No, no, no, this is all wrong and David Williams is one of the architects of this thievery. He got caught reaching for the brass, (Gold) ring and he wants us to give him a boost so he can reach it. No thanks, Dave, you’ve slopped at the public trough long enough.
As for the missing recordings, well, are you really surprised? Had they been erased by mistake why was there not just a blank space accompanied by an explanation of what happened? To say the least it merits an inquiry by law enforcement.
It’s hard to believe we are even having this discussion. David Williams is exactly what’s wrong with Kentucky as he is a politician who has extremely high self esteem at the expense of others.
Kentucky voters do have a choice this May. The choice between a politician and a statesman. Phil Moffett has exhibited his statesmanship through is work in helping children get a better education through private efforts. David Williams has exhibited his self centered arrogance through his actions while on the payroll of the state.
It’s a time in our history when we have to make the right choice or allow our children and grandchildren’s futures to be legally looted by the likes of David Williams type politicians on both sides of the isle.
