Dear friends,
I am writing you in a call for help. This is not just a philosophical thing, it's a reality happening now thing. The MHSA is coming down on the coalfields with regulations that will either put the industry out of business on their own, or cause the price of coal to increase to the point that nobody will be able to use electricity to keep warm and illuminate their worlds as we are now doing. Their regs have to do with dust control.
Regulations from the EPA and MHSA are intentionally causing jobs to be lost. We are dependent now on Hal Rogers to help by slashing budgets to the point that the agencies will get the message and stop their attacks on us. If that doesn't happen we have few avenues left.
It's time we stopped depending on Washington to help, and turned back to the 10th Amendment to protect ourselves from Washington.
Phil Moffett has vowed to do just that if elected governor. I know Phil through David Adams, and have had numerous conversations with him. He is consistent, and he is right. We can only pray he gets elected and we can break the chains of bondage to politicians like Williams and Beshear.
Until that time we need your help in making the war against coal a common subject with our people.
Kentuckians need to be educated more about the effect this battle has on their families and their lives. The recent upturn in electric bills is a prime example of what the liberal environmentalist movement has done. The government bureaucracies have fed on this movement as if it were gasoline being thrown on their flames.
Quite simply, if you do not get involved you can expect your household budget to continue to take hits from the power companies through poor decisions from our own public service commission, their boss, and all the arrogant people we now have in leadership positions.
Help us keep the coal affordable. Otherwise YOU will pay, and Kentucky and America will suffer.
You can do this by making all your friends aware of what's going on in the coalfields of Kentucky and West Virginia.
Please, spread the word.
